Patient Surveys

Would you be willing to respond to occasional surveys about the practice, the services we provide and in the future the services we commission on your behalf?

If so please email the practice at sshc@mkpct.nhs.uk confirming your willingness to participate in occasional surveys.  Each survey should take no more than 5 minutes to complete and we would expect to send up to 10 surveys per year.

Surveys will be sent out to your registered email address for as long as you are happy to participate.  You can choose to opt out at any time.

The surveys will commence once we have sufficient patients who have registered an interest.

THANK YOU!

Telephone Sales Scam

We have been made aware that an organisation is calling patients claiming to be from the health centre and offering a cure-all drink for sale.

Please be aware this is not supported by the practice, has nothing to do with the practice and we have informed the Police and Trading Standards who are acting on the information given.

Please do not fall victim to these hard sales techniques.  If in doubt ring off and telephone the practice for clarity.  Dec 2010

How do I get an appointment?

Please note:

You can book appointments in advance.

You do not have to call on the day to book a routine appointment.

Please ask at reception for the first available appointment.

Alternatively please ask for a telephone call.

Please do not ring off frustrated!

We will offer you something appropriate for your needs.

Please do read more in the appointments section of this website.

Please do make a note of who you are speaking to when you ring the practice (the receptionist will say her name when answering the telephone) and if you have any comments please contact the Assistant practice manager, Gill Hulf.

Online, Repeat Medications Update

In response to a patient request our website developers have increased the number of possible, regular repeat medications, (for use when ordering repeat medication online) from 20 to 30 items.  We trust you find this useful.  June 2010

Appointments

Appointments may be made by telephoning or by visiting the practice during core surgery hours (08:00-18:30 Monday to Friday).

Booking an appointment with the Doctor

When requesting an appointment you will be asked whether your need is an emergency. If so, you will almost certainly be looked after by the Duty Doctor.

If your need is not urgent, you will be cared for by your usual Doctor. If you don’t know who your usual Doctor is, the reception team will be happy to advise you.

Emergency Appointments

When requesting treatment for an emergency (i.e. you would like to be dealt with on the same day) you will be asked to provide a brief overview of what is wrong with you to the receptionist.  She will pass this information to the Duty Doctor who will then be able to prioritise your care.

In the first instance, the Duty Doctor will telephone you and together you will agree the best course of action.

Routine, non-urgent appointments (bookable in advance)

When requesting a routine, non-urgent appointment the receptionist will   endeavour to accommodate your preference for timescale and timing.  If it is not possible to find an appointment that is suitable for you, she will ask your usual Doctor to telephone you.  All the Doctors have access to  appointments that are not available for the administrative team to  release.  If your usual Doctor needs to see you, s/he will make an appointment available for you.  The receptionist will, of course, discuss this with you at the time of booking.

In summary, please don’t forget that there is no need to call in day after day asking for an appointment; leave a message for the Doctor and s/he will telephone you.

Home Visits

Home visits are shared by all available GPs.

Have your Say

Please do make a note of who you are speaking to when you ring or visit the practice and if you have any comments please contact the Assistant Practice Manager, Gill Hulf.
